EMPIRE SECRET ROMANCE???
“Empire
creator Lee Daniels is now dating star actor Jussie Smollett!!!” A headline
that has rocked the internet and got everyone’s tongues wagging.
This quote was taken from the famous webloid mediatakeout.com which is famously known for creating and reporting frivolous stories. The site claimed that there have been rumors swirling about this ‘non- exclusive’ secret romance for a long time.
According
to MTO everyone in the audience of the Human Rights Campaign 2016 Los Angeles
Gala Dinner were ‘SHOCKED’ when JussieSmollett kissed the Empire creator LeeDaniels on the mouth before presenting him with his honorary award. “The
rumors appear to have been confirmed” they claim.
The
truth is that Lee Daniels and Jussie Smollett are NOT dating and She Knows can officially correct this
claim. A source close to Daniels exclusively told the trusted website, GossipCop,
that these rumors are “completely ridiculous”. Just because they kissed on the
mouth, doesn’t mean they are dating; it just shows that different people show
affection in different ways.
In addition, the award Lee was receiving was
for how the show “Empire” handles the issues of LGBT equality. So a kiss on the
lips between two men would not “shock” anyone.
This
only became a rumor because it is known than both men are gay. When Jussie went
on the daytime talk show “The View”, he kissed his long time best friend Raven
Simon on the lips and no rumors broke out.
Jussie also
refers to lee as “father Lee” and if you actually watch the video you can hear Jussie refer to
Daniels as his “second father”. To add to that, if you look closely at the same
video, you will also see that he also kissed actress Gabourey Sidibe on the
lips as well.
Most
importantly, to squash this rumor, Daniels dating someone, and that is his
longtime partner Jahil Fisher who he brought to the event as his date and sat
with in the audience. While Lee’s camp stated that the rumor is “completely
ridiculous”, no word has been heard from Jussie’s camp except the following
cryptic tweet posted by Jussie himself on March 22, 2016;
